Tokyo is one of the world's most populous metropolis. So expect this city to be swarming with people mainly in Shibuya and Harajuku. Shibuya is one of Tokyo's most vibrant and busy districts filled with shopping, dining, and entertainment. Harajuku is a district in Shibuya. It is known for its most extreme teenage cultures and fashion styles.

One of the focal points in Harajuku is Takeshita, a narrow pedestrianized street around 400-meter long dotted by little shops selling fun accessories, eccentric clothes and vintage clothing that are mostly related to Harajuku pop culture. There are also crepe shops, candy stores, and other quirky things. There are some pretty clothes, but we only strolled around here and didn't buy anything, since this place caters more to teens. But it was pretty fun browsing or should I say window shopping. We encountered a couple of girls dressed up in their attractive black outfits and colored hair, though. A type of fashion that is more like a youthful and unconventional style. Kawaii! 😄

 

This place gets extremely crowded, so be ready for that. Takeshita street is directly opposite from JR Harajuku station, and it is nearby Omotesando.
