I decided to share with you peeps what we discovered when we went on a trip to Cebu City a few weeks back, and thought you might enjoy it as well. What I'm talking about is the Balamban Liempo ♥♥♥. If you haven't tasted this grilled meat yet, you're missing half of your life. hahaha I kid you not, this liempo is frigging highly addictive!
It is different from other liempos because this one has a generous stuffing of local herbs, spices and some secret ingredients. This is undeniably the tastiest liempo I've ever had.
It was full of flavor and amazingly satisfying. I remember scooping up every last morsel off my plate. It's really an awesome dish to tempt every palate and it costs only Php 175.00.
Next time we go to Cebu, aside from Balamban Liempo, I'll definitely try also their super-sized Lechon Manok.
Ahhh, I'm really drooling now just thinking about it. *slurps* :)
Balamban Liempo has four branches in Cebu City - Mabolo, Capitol, Lahug and MEPZ II. You can contact them at 0922-6205921 for deliveries.
wrapped in tin foil when we ordered for take-out

Hi Jenn,
You're welcome and thanks for dropping by. :)
looks good, but does it still have the usual crispy liempo skin?
Hi jasper,
Sorry, no idea. Never tried the pork liempo skin.
Hi June! I’m back!! One week off, one week to deal with the mess created by the absence, a birthday almost no one noticed and a weekend to rest a little bit... But now you're ruining my diet... ;)
Meanwhile Blogtrotter Two is waiting your comment at a fabulous hotel: the Cala di Volpe in Costa Smeralda!! Enjoy and have a great weekend!

It is morning here in California. I am getting hungry looking at all these pictures. I feel silly. I always thought .lechon was piggy only. If I rteturn to Cebu, I now have this to try out. Salamat kaayo

...i think cebuan0s really are good in lechon...it's their business...they've got all the flavors well-liked not only by Filipinos but by foreigners as well...
