MY BELOVED MOTHER

I am now so weak and in deep sorrow, but I still managed to write it here. My mom died peacefully in the Lord today at 6:30 am. I can't believe she's gone.

If I could write about my mother, it would be the best and unsurpassed story ever told. She's a very caring woman, homebody, gentle, loving, and kind. A mother who will give her best, and she asked nothing in return. She always expresses her unconditional love to her children.

Words are not enough to describe my mother.

Just two and a half weeks ago, I was talking to her on the phone, and I was telling her to take care of her health and not to forget to take her medicines. And I told her, "Mom, I was your baby before, but now - you are my baby." She laughed so hard. She thought I was joking, but I was serious. We always say "I LOVE YOU" every time we would end our conversation over the phone.

To my mother dear, because you're the greatest mother in the world, I hope Heaven will bless you and shower you with the greatest reward that you deserve. I will always treasure and keep the beautiful memories that we had. You're irreplaceable, and you'll always be in my heart. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

As I'm writing this now, my emotion is so intense. I tried to stop crying but my silent tears keep falling down my cheeks, because deep down inside, I always knew that I will miss her smile, hugs, and kisses. The way she cared. The touch of her hand and the sound of her voice. The tender loving care. I WILL MISS MY BELOVED MOTHER TERRIBLY.

Please pray for the eternal repose of her soul.

How did she pass away? Was it sudden?
I also lost my mom but when I was younger so I can relate and recently saw my dad lose his parent. Lean on your friends and hubby in these hard times. Best wishes to you and your family.

Working here in Saudi Arabia taught me that time pass so quickly. When I left the Philippines my daughter Shann couldn't talk much, but right now when we chat through the net she can almost converse fluently (medyo bulol nga lang. That precious moments I wish I’m there with her when she is learning how to talk. Same as Lola Aying I was hoping that I was there the time that she needed us most. Time is already lost, what I can only do now is to make the best of it by providing more time to my family.

Lola Aying is a kind and loving grandmother who tends to her grandchildren’s needs very well. A loving grandmother that a grandson could not ask for more, that is why I felt it was very untimely when Lola Aying passed away. I promise that I would visit her tomb as soon as I return back to our beloved country. My sole intention to visit Visayas was because of Lola Aying, now that she's gone I’ve lost that purpose. Even though she passed away we left her great memories like her birthday party last year, and it was the most happiest part for me when she met her great granddaughter.

Lola Aying, being a good mother reflects on how she took care of her children who are now very successful on their chosen careers, able to surpass the battles of life and taught them to love God above all.

To my Lola Aying, my only wish for you is that you’ve already met your peace in life and reunited with Lolo Ven.

See you in the next life.

    Your Loving apo (grandson),

Oday everything you have written, said and felt for Inay are all true and is even an understatement if only to explain the committment and love she felt for us. She's the kind of mother anyone would want to have in their lifetime. But you know, those that are precious and important don't last long. Please dont ask me why? Perhaps she knew too well that we are all ready to face our path and GOD is so happy to welcome her. She really is there cause I felt it in my heart. Be kind to everyone cause she is. Dont make a haste in our lives cause it's not worth it. Thank you for this pep talk you provided. Keep in touch Oday.

There are a lot of things that we should be thankful and grateful for. And our whole family is so blessed to have LOLA AYING as part of our lives, both as a mother to her 8 children and as a LOLA to her 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter (Shann). Maybe I haven’t spent a lot of “quality” time with my lola but whenever she visited our family in Laguna I really appreciate it that she always finds time to visit all her children and apos despite of lola’s age. I believe that most of the things and lessons my mom taught us, she all learned it from my lola. LOLA AYING did a great job in all her children and set as a good example to all of us. Indeed, she is loved by more people and considered indispensable.

We love you LOLA and we’ll surely miss you….
