✈ Tokyo SEGA Joypolis in Odaiba

Pardon me lovely peeps if I don't get back to blogging in a timely manner. I've just been so busy. Meanwhile, after visiting Edo-Tokyo Museum we proceeded to Odaiba, a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man-made island in Tokyo Bay. I was surprised to see a very familiar face.

A Statue of Liberty in Japan? Really?  The iconic statue standing about 11 meters tall from the pedestal, overlooking Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge that looks like the Brooklyn Bridge, for a few seconds, I thought we were in New York. :D

Odaiba has a great view of the bay and nice walks through the decks.

We went to a shopping mall called Aqua City Odaiba to have some quick lunch.

We noticed these little felines for sale while walking past a pet shop. They're super adorable don't you think? But mind you, these are expensive breeds. The average price for a cat is around Php100k to Php200k.

Nearby is the Fuji TV Building with a giant ball suspended in the structure.

Then we walked to Decks Tokyo Beach, a shopping mall featuring various stores, restaurants and multiple indoor theme parks, including the Tokyo SEGA Joypolis. We paid Y500 (per adult) for the entrance ticket only. Actually it was Y800 but we got a Y300 discount. If you want admission plus the unlimited rides you can splurge on a Y3,900 One Day Passport.

We spent most of our time enjoying the Space Interactions. We had lots of belly laughs and it was so much fun.

If you plan to get on the rides, try the Halfpipe Tokyo, Virtua Formula and Veil of Dark.

Joypolis Tokyo is not actually a theme park, but a big three-storey arcade  featuring virtual arcade games and fun rides based on Sega intellectual properties.
