We reserved two rooms, one for us and the other for my Ate and her family. We picked V Hotel Lavender for the location and we were pleased.
The hotel is just a few steps to Lavender MRT station, restaurants and shops such as Kopitiam, Wendy's, Kampong 18, Mugiya, Anana's Cafe and 7-Eleven just to name a few.
Rooms are small with simple modern design. HB and I got a Deluxe room (S$118.94/ night) with a huge glass window overlooking the street and facing the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) Building.
The queen-sized bed was comfortable and I liked the large glass mirror on the wall just above the headboard that adds a touch of style.
Our room had a 32" LCD TV and a long desk.
Our little bathroom.
Ate M chose the Triple room which has a queen-sized bed and one single bed. Both rooms have the same size. So this room is more like cramped compared to ours.
We all stayed at the same hotel on our first day but Ate's family transferred the next morning to Bayview Hotel to enjoy their membership privileges for a free hotel room stay.
There's also a swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant and lounge chairs.
Breakfast is available but it was not included in our room rate. Lobby was often packed and busy with tourist groups. Also a tour bus can always be found parked in front of the hotel.
On the plus side, most of the staff are Filipinos, which provided all the help we needed. And it made me feel like I'm home away from home.
V Hotel Lavender is located at 70 Jellicoe Road, Singapore.

Nice post! We are going to Singapore next year, and as early as now, I am scouting for cheap and ok accommodation. I have seen you travel to SG all the time, can you suggest any aside from V Hotel.
nice hotel!
Hi Tina,
There are only two hotels we’ve stayed in Singapore – Bayview Hotel and V Hotel Lavender. Between the two, I’d recommend V Hotel which is much cheaper and sits right next to a subway station. Sorry, not much help here. Anyway, thanks for dropping by.
Hi Wenn,
Thanks for the visit.
