SHAM SHUI PO

Posted by JUNE (AnAsianTraveler) On Friday, July 16, 2010
HB thought we should jump on the chance for electronics flea market browsing. We decided to head to Apliu Street in Sham Shui Po district. It's a fascinating place to peruse among shops selling the cheapest electronics in town. Be careful though, this street attracts high density crowds.

Here's another interesting side of Hong Kong. Sham Shui Po district is also the poorest district in Hong Kong and covered mainly by residential buildings. To make up for the lack of space in their living unit, most HK residents practice of drying clothes on the balcony.

For most visitors, this can turn out to be an eyesore but this is quite common in Sham Shui Po area.
