PHILIPPINE ELECTIONS 2010

Sorry for the lack of posts, just been lazy and wasn't feeling very well for the past few days. Still taking medicines and recuperating at home.

Glad that Philippine Elections 2010 are finally over without much bloodshed and mayhem. According to AFP and PNP, yesterday's election was "peaceful" compared to past elections despite some reports of vote buying, failure of elections in some areas and violence in Southern Mindanao.

Some scenes from a polling station (Rajah Soliman Science and Technology High School) in Manila yesterday.

I've read a report of rampant vote-buying in Catbalogan, a 1st class city in the province of Samar. Some of the sufficient evidence:

shameless! shameless! shameless!

Most of the politician's targets are the illiterate squatters, the C and D crowds in barrios/remote areas who are easily swayed. And when elected these shameless and f***ing politicians recoup the money through graft and corruption.

Vote buying is considered an election offense that carries a penalty of one to six years of imprisonment, as well as the removal to vote and be voted. Comelec, can you do something about this?

Philippine politics is filled with corruption and illegal tactics. You could even smell the rotting stench of corruption as far as the skies resulting millions of Filipino families suffering from poverty and scarcity.

I'm just praying that the newly elected leaders and government officials could lift our country from poverty and fight against corruptions. This might sound impossible but I still remain hopeful!
