Ancol Dreamland Part 8 of 8
Dunia Fantasi Part 5 of 5

After watching the tornado ride, we strolled into the wooden bridge that provides the most scenic views over the beautiful lake.

Soon we arrived at Amerika section. We tried the Rumah Ajaib Rango-Rango (Tilt house). On the outside it bears a resemblance to normal country-style wooden houses. But we realized the laws of gravity seemed to go awry as we stepped inside. It was hard to walk around because of the slanted floor. But we actually had fun here.

Then we went into the Rumah Jahil (mirror maze) where we startled ourselves with our own reflections. We got lost inside the life-size maze of mirrors and glass but we just made it through in less than 3 minutes. The maze was way too small.

We also managed to catch sight of a shooting gallery where visitors can use a toy gun to shoot the 100 animatronik targets.

Other attractions that you will find here are the Niagara-gara (Flume ride) and Pocic poci (tea cup).

We walked through the wonderfully themed Balada Kera area, which has the following attractions such as the Monkey Theater, bumper cars and fairground games.

Overall, we enjoyed our tour. I'm kind of like a kid when it comes to amusement parks. So for me, Dunia Fantasi was a lot of fun if compared to other attractions in Ancol Dreamland.

Ancol Dreamland complex in Jakarta, Indonesia is massive. I was already exhausted after a whole day just roaming around from one place to another. If you're planning to explore all the attractions (Taman Pantai, SeaWorld, Gelanggang Samudra, Dunia Fantasi and the Atlantis Water Adventure) in one day, you need to have great physical stamina as it involve a lot of walking. But you could get the Gondola cable car ride that takes you to another attraction, or a taxicab. However, cabs are scarce inside the Ancol complex. If you need a car going out just ask the security guard to call for you (preferably a blue bird taxi for safety reason).

  • This place is great! I would love to shoot at something in the shooting gallery

  • Another fabulous escapade huh?! That Rango Rango really looks exciting. But I don't think I'd dare enter that Mirror Maze, no matter how short it is. It will just give me some dizzy spell.

  • Wow! That was quite an experience!
    Nice photos too!
I'd been only to Enchanted Kingdom. I'm sure Dunia Fantasi is even way cooler...
