'TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY!

Saturday, December 27, 2008 Published by JUNE (An Asian Traveler) under ,

"'Tis the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la..." Christmas is a great holiday to rekindle old traditions as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It's not only for presents and exchange gifts but to have fun and spend our precious time with the rest of the family.

We are a big clan but most of the
family members were not able to come home :(having fun

Showing off their fluffy bedroom slippers :)
Ai, the winner of my blog contest. She received a pair of Havaianas slippers as a prize.

My beloved mother passed away a few months ago and it was our first Christmas without her. My mother was truly the domestic goddess. She was the busiest person in the family and she would normally take charge of everything. Ahh, I just miss her presence and her tender loving care. Sometimes I still wish she's here with us.

Hb and I had a relaxing break in the province with my family. On Christmas day, after we had a festive dinner, we started our "Pajama Party". Everyone was asked to dress accordingly. With prize at stake, some tried to show off their best attire. Aside from the usual giving / opening presents, I also added some wacky games with prices just to add heaps of fun and to ensure an enjoyable event for all.

the best dress winner "Ai" (again) who received a cash and in-kind price.
We had a good belly laugh when we saw her. :)
An excerpt from our conversation two weeks before Christmas:
Ai: cge cge game ako...kaya lang di naman mawala na respeto sa akin ang angkan may naisip na ako eh
Me: hahaha di bale na mawalan ng respeto basta mapasaya mo ang buong angkan hehe

I told ean to take charge of giving the gifts
as I was busy taking pictures

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
instead of Egg Relay game we had a Lemon Relay.
Super hilarious :)

Hep Hep Hooray contest
Newspaper Dance contest

It was just a simple "P-A-R-T-E-E" but I was happy to see everyone enjoying themselves that night. :)

Hello everyone, hb and I will spend our holiday out of the country. So, I'll be taking a BLOG-cation for a week. I hope all of you have a Happy New Year. :)
