ABOUT "AN ASIAN TRAVELER"

An Asian Traveler is about exploring Asia and possibly in the future, places beyond Asia! It is about discovering the best places, popular attractions and lesser known spots, specifically historical sites and landmarks, museums, amusement parks, zoos and aquariums. This blog also endeavors to show food adventures and dining experiences, hotel staycations and shopping discoveries.

It is about real life emotions and getting to know the characters behind “An Asian Traveler”, including little tidbits of their real lives, and the people they meet, their loves and likes, quirks, and their pet peeves, if any.

“An Asian Traveler” has been in the blogosphere for nearly a decade spreading to the world wide web what Asia can offer to in so far as travel, food, hotel and fashion/shopping are concerned.

As the years passed, An Asian Traveler has evolved into a full-blown web place taking into account the complex and a fast-paced internet world. Currently, “An Asian Traveler” is set to make a minor change on its blog platform. June (Mel her real name) invited her older sister (Mavs) to join her in this endeavor. June serves as the “brains” of An Asian Traveler. She is responsible for the web design, taking quality photos, blog write-ups especially on travel, as much as possible. Mavs takes charge of editing and finalizing article write-ups and social media management.

June and Mavs are sisters! As they are both Gemini, they are fun loving, imaginative, energetic, adaptable and friendly. This is why they want to explore and learn more, while sharing what they’ve learned from their experiences and expressing freely what’s on their minds. They are grateful to have loving and supportive partners in life who play a major role. Their extended families play a crucial role as well, and most especially the needed moral support.

And so, we are excited to share with you all, our collaboration and we hope you will follow us wherever we go, be it domestic or abroad, and possibly we can offer something new to all of you dear readers, and eventually become our great friends.

On a personal note, much as we would like to show more facial exposure of ourselves, the truth is while we are outspoken in some aspects of our lives, we are simply too shy to take “selfie” pics of ourselves. Besides, we strictly observe internet privacy particularly the importance of personal privacy, as such we would like to keep a portion of our private lives, private! Thank you for your kind understanding.

  6. I'm curious as to how you lost your own domain. Did it expire and you didn't renew it right away? For how long? I had the same experience as well with our company's website but it was a few weeks after it was hi-jacked by those web squatters...

  7. Hi Dodong,

Yes, my domain expired without me knowing it. I wasn't properly advised. And there are greedy bastards who buy domains just to resell them at ridiculous marked up rates.
