TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL

Our two friends, HB and I took a flight to Tagbilaran City, Bohol. One week before our arrival, I made a reservation for 4 days/3 nights stay at Metrocentre Hotel.
Tagbilaran City known also as the "City of Friendship" is the capital and center of the province of Bohol. Bohol is the tenth largest island in the Philippines. It is about 700 kilometers directly south of Manila and is about 70 kilometers southeast of Mactan Island.

Bohol is famous for its Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers. There are some
scenic spots and tourist attractions that you can also visit like the Loboc River Cruise, Baclayon Church, Blood Compact and Hinagdanan Cave. Bohol most known local food delicacy is the Peanut Kisses.
The Manila-Bohol flight took us 1 hour and 15 minutes. The hotel is near the airport. In fact, you can just walk if you don't have a heavy baggage.

MetroCentre Hotel is an 8-story standard hotel, located in Tagbilaran City's financial and commercial district.

Each guest room is equipped with individually remote controlled air-conditioning, Cable TV, IDD/NDD telephone, refrigerator, private bathroom with hot and cold shower. 220 volt electrical points, key-card security lock system, smoke and heat detectors, sprinkler system. Most rooms have two single beds (39 x 78 inches), others have double beds (54x80 inches), table and chairs.

We wanted the De Luxe Room but it was not available at that time. So, they gave us the Superior B room that could accommodate four people (double bed with two extra beds). The price was only PhP 2,250.00/room/day (rate as of December 2005). Not bad at all. Inclusions are continental breakfast, bottled drinking water, entrance to the Atmosphere's Ballroom, disco and KTV rooms, use of the sauna and jacuzzi, gym, swimming pool and game room and round trip airport/hotel transfer.

The Health club features sauna, jacuzzi, and massage treatments. They also have gym, swimming pool, table tennis and billiard table on the 7th floor of the hotel. They are open from 6am-10am and 6pm-10 pm.

Breakfast was served in the Coffee lounge located on the ground floor of the hotel. For our Continental breakfast we had choices of coffee or tea, croissant, toasted bread or soft rolls. For desserts we had mango and pineapple.

It was already late in the evening but we still went to the disco house located on the ground floor of the hotel. As soon as we were seated, we ordered a home baked pizza, vodka cruiser blue be, frothy orange smooth and cali. After a few minutes, we were already bored but thanks to our friend NM who was still in high spirits. I was fully awakened and delighted to see him with his inimitable and hilarious dancing style on the dance floor. hahaha... People would have thought he was nuts.

The disco house actually played some decent music and they also had live band. But I was just a little disappointed with the crowd. You could see some people not wearing proper attire.
